Candy Acres Labradors is a small hobby kennel located in Southeastern Massachusetts. I breed only one or two litters of puppies a year so that I can spend the time socializing the puppies to the best of my ability, including introducing them to a variety of surfaces to play on, and having all kinds of people over to play with them, young, old, male and female. My main emphasis in my breeding program is temperament. Without good temperament I do not believe that you can have the trainability that is one of the premier traits of the true, original Labrador Retriever. I strive to breed for correct conformation, each time matching a female with a male that will compliment the conformation of the female minimizing any faults she may have, and aiming to reproduce better than the parents on each litter. I only breed stock that has all of the medical clearances that are recommended for Labs, including hips, elbows, eyes and PRA.
